Dar holds talks with Bangladeshi envoy, UAE foreign minister

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met Bangladesh High Commissioner Iqbal Hossain Khan in Islamabad on Tuesday and discussed with him measures to strengthen bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in trade, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to elevating mutual ties, Dar stated, “There is immense untapped potential in our relationship that must be utilized for the benefit of both nations.”

The two diplomats agreed on exploring new avenues to deepen economic and diplomatic collaboration.

Regional consultations amid rising tensions

Separately, Deputy Prime Minister Dar also held a telephonic conversation with UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The two leaders discussed the deteriorating regional situation, particularly the rising tensions between Iran and Israel.

They underscored the urgent need for peace and stability in the Middle East and agreed to maintain close coordination and consultation on regional security developments.

Both sides also reiterated their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing mutual interests in areas of shared concern.
