Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit Karachi on Monday to acknowledge the Pakistan Navy’s role in successfully countering Indian aggression during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, official sources said.
According to sources, the prime minister will meet with officers and personnel of the Pakistan Navy during his visit. Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf will receive the premier upon arrival.
Prime Minister Shehbaz is expected to address the naval officers and sailors and pay tribute to their professionalism and preparedness in thwarting hostile actions by the Indian Navy during the recent escalation.
Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu are also expected to accompany the prime minister on this visit.
