The UAE expressed its support for the recently announced ceasefire between India and Pakistan, according to Afra Al Hameli, Director of Strategic Communications at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).
In a statement on X, Al Hameli conveyed the Ministry’s hope that the ceasefire would enhance security and stability throughout South Asia.
The UAE praised the leadership of both nations for achieving the agreement and acknowledged the diplomatic efforts of former U.S. President Donald Trump in facilitating this breakthrough.
The Ministry expressed confidence that both countries would remain committed to the ceasefire, viewing it as a crucial step towards broader regional stability.
Highlighting its close ties with India and Pakistan, the UAE emphasized the importance of diplomacy and dialogue in resolving tensions and fostering trust.
The Ministry is optimistic that this development will lead to long-term stability, development, and prosperity for the people of both nations.
