A shocking case of theft has emerged in Karachi’s Defence area, where valuables worth Rs100 million were stolen from a private bank locker.
According to details, a citizen reported that his bank locker in the Defence area had been emptied.
The stolen valuables included diamond and gold jewelry, branded watches, and other expensive items.
The complainant stated that on February 6, the locker was intact, but upon visiting the bank on February 19, he discovered it was empty.

The citizen, who had been using the locker since July 2010, informed authorities that he had been adding valuables over time.
He has filed complaints with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the State Bank of Pakistan.
Police confirmed that an investigation is underway and that statements have been recorded from the complainant.
If necessary, additional charges will be added to the case. Authorities have also summoned bank staff for questioning and obtained CCTV footage and other records to aid the investigation.
A robbery attempt near Surjani 4K Chowrangi led to a shooting incident, injuring two individuals identified as Nauman and Arshad.
According to reports, armed robbers opened fire when their victims resisted the robbery.
Residents managed to overpower one of the robbers and handed him over to the police.
Law enforcement officials recovered weapons from the suspect, while another accomplice managed to escape.
The robbers’ location was tipped off by a rickshaw driver, and the injured individuals were shifted to the hospital.
In another unfortunate incident, a three-year-old child, Taimoor, was injured in a shooting at a fruit shop in New Karachi, Sector 11-D.
According to police, five to six armed men were involved in the firing before fleeing the scene. Authorities are investigating the case from multiple angles to determine the motive behind the attack.
A police encounter took place in Orangi Town’s MPR Colony, where law enforcement engaged in an exchange of fire with suspects.
One suspect, identified as Shah Nawaz, was injured and taken into custody, while his accomplice managed to escape.
According to SSP West, the injured suspect was found in possession of illegal weapons, and a search is ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspect.
A major fire erupted at a timber warehouse near Bhains Colony, prompting the fire brigade to seek assistance from the Water Corporation.
According to the spokesperson, the Managing Director (MD) of the Water Corporation declared an emergency at the Sherpao Hydrant. Water tankers were dispatched to the site to assist in firefighting efforts.
Officials confirmed that the person in charge of the hydrant cell is in constant coordination with the fire brigade and rescue teams.
The focal person for hydrant cell operations is personally overseeing the response. Water tankers will continue to be supplied until the fire is completely under control.
The funeral prayer for Imran, who was killed by robbers, was held in Golimar.
A large number of family members, relatives, and friends attended the ceremony.
According to the victim’s family, Imran was married and the father of an eight-year-old child. He had been working in the garment industry for the past 18 years.
