Sarfraz Bugti: All institutions united for peace in the province

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti chaired a meeting of the provincial apex committee on Tuesday at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, where strict measures and enhanced intelligence sharing were emphasised to eliminate terrorism.

The meeting was attended by Commander Balochistan Corps Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmed Khan, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, IG Police, and other senior officials.

The committee conducted a comprehensive review of the province’s security situation, counterterrorism efforts, and the performance of security forces.

It also assessed the implementation of decisions made in previous national and provincial apex committee meetings.

During the meeting, CM Bugti stated that all institutions in the province are united in their efforts to maintain peace and will leave no stone unturned in ensuring the safety of citizens.

Discussions also covered border management, anti-smuggling measures, and actions under the National Action Plan.

Senior officials in the committee agreed that sustained peace in Balochistan requires close coordination between security forces and the civil administration.

The chief minister directed immediate implementation of the committee’s decisions, emphasising that the government is committed to protecting lives and ensuring the continuity of development projects.
