Imran Khan lashes out over Pakistan’s loss to India in Champions Trophy

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan has expressed strong resentment over Pakistan’s poor performance in the ICC Champions Trophy, saying that favouritism in key appointments is ruining cricket.

Following a meeting with Imran Khan in Adiala Jail, his sister Aleema Khan spoke to the media, revealing that the former PM was particularly furious about cricket.

“He watched Pakistan’s match on PTV and was extremely upset about the loss,” she stated.

Imran Khan criticised Mohsin Naqvi, claiming that every position he has been given has led to destruction.

“He was first made chief minister and caused devastation. Now, as interior minister, he is doing the same. He has been given more positions than anyone else in Pakistan,” Imran was quoted as saying.

Aleema Khan further said that Imran questioned Naqvi’s cricketing experience and argued that any respectable official would have resigned after such a disastrous performance.

However, he believes Naqvi will not step down.

She also dismissed rumours about Imran Khan’s health, stating that reports of him fainting were false.

“He laughed at such claims. His health is perfectly fine,” she clarified.

Aleema added that the family recently spoke to Imran’s children and found reassurance in knowing he was well.

She also criticised the spread of misinformation, noting that firsthand meetings hold more weight than unverified sources.
