The Balochistan government has extended Section 144 across the province for another month, officials announced on Monday, with restrictions remaining in effect until March 31.

According to the Balochistan Home Department, the notification prohibits the display of weapons, the installation of tinted windows on vehicles and the movement of unregistered motorcycles.

Pillion riding on motorcycles has also been banned, except for women and children.

The order further bans gatherings, processions and rallies of five or more people.

Covering the face with masks or mufflers in public places will also not be allowed.

Officials said strict action will be taken against violators under Section 144.
