Israel strikes Iran’s missile and air defence systems in fresh attack
The Israeli air force has launched a new wave of strikes on Iran, targeting more than 30 sites across the country’s western and central regions, the Israeli military said.
In a statement, the military said dozens of fighter jets carried out the operation, acting on intelligence guidance, and struck what it described as elements of Iran’s ballistic missile array and air defence systems.
“Dozens of air force fighter jets struck, guided by military intelligence, and completed just a short while ago another wave of strikes to target the ballistic missile array and air defence systems of the Iranian terror regime in western and central Iran,” the statement said.
The military added that operations would continue against air defence installations, missile launch sites, military headquarters and other targets it described as linked to the Iranian regime.
There was no immediate comment from Iranian authorities on the reported strikes, and the extent of damage or casualties was not immediately clear.
