Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq: 352 Afghan personnel killed
Information Minister Attaullah Tarar on Friday released updated figures from Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq, saying 352 Afghan personnel have been killed so far, while more than 535 have been wounded.
In a statement shared on X, Tarar said 130 Afghan check posts had been destroyed, and Pakistani forces had taken control of 26 positions.
He added that 171 Afghan tanks and armoured vehicles were also destroyed, and 41 locations were targeted through air strikes.
The minister said the operation was launched in response to what he described as unprovoked aggression by Afghan Taliban forces along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border late Thursday night.
According to the statement, Pakistan’s armed forces carried out retaliatory actions at multiple locations inside Afghan territory, targeting military installations in Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia and other areas.
Tarar said the operation remains ongoing.
