The first incident occurred near the Korangi Crossing Bridge, where a speeding oil tanker collided with a motorcycle, killing three-year-old Saira and injuring her uncle and younger brother.
The family had been heading out to buy juice when the accident occurred.
Saira’s uncle, 18-year-old Raj Mohammad, and her one-year-old brother, Subhan, were injured in the crash.
Saira’s family hails from Gilgit-Baltistan, and her father works as a labourer in Karachi.
After the tragedy, the area people managed to catch the driver of the oil tanker and handed him over to the Zaman Town police.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
The second fatality occurred at the Korangi 100 Quarters Pasban Chowk, where four-year-old Waseem was run over by a water tanker.
Waseem had been playing outside his house when the vehicle, which was reversing, struck him.
According to Waseem’s uncle, Habib, Waseem was the only child, and his father works in Gwadar.
