A major fire broke out at a warehouse near Barkat Market in Lahore on Friday, with rescue teams battling the flames for more than two hours.

Rescue officials said the fire could not be fully controlled even after two and a half hours, as multiple firefighting units continued efforts to douse the blaze.

A spokesperson for Rescue 1122 confirmed that no casualties were reported in the incident.

Officials said the warehouse housed a chair-manufacturing unit, where highly combustible material intensified the fire.

The owner told the media that goods worth millions of rupees were destroyed.

Authorities have launched an inquiry to determine the cause of the fire, while cooling operations continued to prevent reignition.
