Khyber Pakhtunkhwa security forces killed 24 militants during two intelligence-based operations in Orakzai and Khyber districts on Friday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

According to the ISPR, a heavy exchange of fire took place between security forces and militants during the operations.

Fourteen militants were killed in Orakzai district, while ten more were eliminated in Khyber district.

The slain militants were linked to the Indian proxy group Fitna al-Khawarij.

A sanitisation operation is ongoing in the area to eliminate other militants.

The ISPR stated that counter-terrorism operations will continue under the “Azm-e-Istiqamat” vision, ensuring that terrorism sponsored by foreign elements is eradicated.
