Six killed as bus rams into rickshaw in Toba Tek Singh

At least six people, including women, were killed and three others sustained critical injuries in a collision between a passenger bus and a rickshaw on Rajana-Samundri Road on Monday, Rescue 1122 officials said.

The deceased were identified as 23-year-old Talha, 18-year-old Bilal, 40-year-old Hanif, 28-year-old Humaira, 38-year-old Nasira, and 45-year-old Lubna. The injured include 28-year-old Waqas, 24-year-old Saeed, and 35-year-old Shehnaz.

Rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies and injured to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, Toba Tek Singh.

Preliminary reports suggest the accident occurred due to overspeeding. Further investigation is underway.
