Dove Cameron is already planning her wedding with fiancé Damiano David, focusing on a style that reflects her personality rather than traditional bridal norms.

In a new interview with Vogue, Cameron revealed details about her engagement and wedding vision.

She recalled that during the proposal, she was completely barefaced and casual, wearing a big T-shirt with damp hair.

“I had no idea that it was gonna be that day,” she said. “It was very sweet because I am usually very made-up and done-up, but this time I wasn’t.”

Cameron emphasised that for her wedding day, she wants to avoid conventional “soft” bridal makeup.

“Honestly, I don’t want to do something too traditional,” she told Vogue.

“Every time I have my makeup done in a pretty, gold-wash style with slight eyeshadow and a little mascara, I don’t feel like myself.”

She added, “I’d rather wear literally no makeup or a smudgy eye, like I threw on some eyeliner myself and messed it up—it feels more me.”

The 30-year-old announced her engagement to Maneskin frontman Damiano David earlier this month, though the proposal occurred privately in October.

The couple kept the news quiet for months, with speculation first arising in late October when Cameron was spotted wearing a ring in Sydney.
