The security cover of key Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders has been restored after it was earlier withdrawn, easing concerns within political circles in Karachi.

According to details, security has been reinstated for Federal Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Mustafa Kamal and Anees Qaimkhani.

The security detail of Sindh Assembly Opposition Leader Ali Khorshidi has also been returned.

In addition, Deputy Parliamentary Leader Taha Ahmed has regained his security cover.
