Security forces kill 3 Indian-backed terrorists in Panjgur operation
Security forces neutralised three terrorists associated with the Indian-sponsored proxy group, “Fitna-al-Hindustan,” during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Panjgur district on Sunday, the military’s media wing said.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched following reports of terrorist presence in the area. During an intense exchange of fire, troops effectively engaged the location, resulting in the death of three Indian sponsored terrorists: Local Area Commander Farooq (alias Soro), Adeel, and Waseem.
“Security forces also recovered a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the site,” the ISPR said, adding that the deceased terrorists were reportedly involved in multiple terrorist activities across the region.
“Sanitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area.”
The ISPR reaffirmed that the relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision—approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan—will continue at full pace to wipe out foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to security forces for the successful IBO against Fitna-al-Hindustan terrorists in Panjgur.
“The nation’s unwavering resolve in the war against terrorism and the role of security forces are commendable,” President Zardari said, according to the President’s Secretariat.
The president said operations against terrorists are indispensable for national security. The war against terrorism caused by foreign interference will continue, he added.
In a separate statement, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif also paid tribute to the security forces for the successful operation against “Fitna-al-Hindustan” terrorists in Panjgur.
According to a statement issued by the PM Office, the prime minister lauded the forces for neutralising three terrorists associated with the group during the engagement. He emphasised that under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision, security institutions continue to achieve significant milestones in the ongoing fight against terrorism.
“The entire nation stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the Pakistan Armed Forces in this war against terrorism,” the prime minister stated, reaffirming the government’s unwavering commitment to the complete eradication of all forms of terrorism from the country.
