Pakistan vs India U-19 match date revealed
The International Cricket Council (ICC) U-19 World Cup Super Six lineup has been completed, while the date of the thrilling match between Pakistan and India will be played on February 1.
In the last match of the group stage of the U-19 World Cup played yesterday, India defeated New Zealand by 7 wickets to secure first position in Group B.
For India, RS Ambaresh bowled brilliantly and took 4 wickets, while captain Ayush Mahatre played an important role in the team’s victory by scoring a half-century. Thus, India remained undefeated in the group stage and secured the top position.
After the end of the group stage, the line-up for the Super Six stage has also been revealed, in which 3 teams from Groups A and D are included in Super Six Group One, while 3 teams from Groups B and C are included in Super Six Group Two, thus a total of 12 teams have entered the next stage.
These 12 teams have been divided into 2 groups: Pakistan, India, New Zealand, England, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe are part of Group One, while Group 2 includes Australia, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Afghanistan, West Indies and South Africa.
The two-time champion Pakistan team, which finished second in Group C, is entering the Super Six stage with 2 points, which it got as a result of its victory over Zimbabwe.
The Pakistan team will play its first Super Six match against New Zealand on January 27 at the Harare Sports Club, while the second and most important match will be against India on February 1.
To reach the semi-finals, it will be imperative for Pakistan to win both Super Six matches.
It should be noted that in the Super Six stage, each team will play 2 matches before the knockout stage, and the top 2 teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals. The semi-finals will be held on February 3 and 4, while the tournament final will be played on February 6 at the Harare Sports Club.
