Princess Zahra Aga Khan, daughter of Prince Karim Aga Khan, arrived in Karachi on a three-day visit on Friday, where she was received at Jinnah International Airport by Sindh Minister for Culture Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah.

The provincial minister welcomed Princess Zahra by presenting her with flowers and conveying the Sindh government’s greetings. Princess Zahra thanked the provincial government for the warm reception and hospitality.

Speaking on the occasion, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah paid tribute to the Aga Khan family’s contributions in the fields of education, health and social development.

He said the services rendered by the Aga Khan family had played a significant role in improving society and were highly valued across Pakistan.

The minister said Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah had personally taken initiatives for the development and welfare of the Ismaili community, adding that the family’s efforts had strengthened social progress in the province and beyond.

He also noted that Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had consistently described the services of the Aga Khan family as a source of pride for the country.

Princess Zahra’s visit is expected to include engagements related to social development and community initiatives, officials said.
