A district and sessions court in Islamabad on Saturday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi after he failed to appear in a case involving misleading accusations against state institutions and damage to their credibility.

Senior Civil Judge Abbas Shah heard the case and ordered Afridi’s arrest and production before the court. The hearing was adjourned until January 17.
