Two more victims injured in the Hyderabad fireworks factory explosion succumbed to their injuries at a Karachi hospital, raising the death toll to nine, officials said.

The deceased were identified as 45-year-old Shiraz and 35-year-old Naeem.

A case of the explosion has been registered at the B-Section Police Station in Hyderabad.

According to the FIR, the factory owner and his partners have been nominated in the case.

According to earlier reports, the blast on Saturday levelled the fireworks factory situated near the riverbank in Leghari Goth, Latifabad No. 10, Hyderabad.

The blast, heard from several kilometres away, brought down the building, leaving workers trapped under the debris.

Rescue teams, police, and Rangers recovered bodies from under the rubble.

Three of the injured remain in critical condition in Civil Hospital, Hyderabad.
