The Balochistan government has imposed Section 144 across the province for 30 days to maintain law and order, according to an official notification issued on Thursday.

Under Section 144, the display of weapons, public rallies, sit-ins, and gatherings of more than five people have been banned.

The notification stated that the decision was taken to prevent any untoward incident and ensure public safety. Authorities warned that legal action would be taken against violators.

Meanwhile, the provincial government has denied permission for a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally scheduled for November 7 in Quetta.
