Gold prices plunge in Pakistan amid global decline
Gold prices dropped sharply across Pakistan on Tuesday, ending a two-day upward streak in both local and international markets.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs3,500 per tola, bringing it down to Rs420,362.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold declined by Rs3,001, settling at Rs360,392.
In the international market, gold prices recorded a $35 decline, with the precious metal trading at $3,980 per ounce.
Meanwhile, silver prices also continued their downward trend.
The rate of per tola silver decreased by Rs130 to Rs5,022, while 10 grams of silver dropped by Rs112 to Rs4,305.
Globally, silver was priced at $47.60 per ounce.
