The Sindh Excise and Taxation Department has extended the deadline for Karachi motorists to obtain the new Ajrak-design vehicle number plates until December 31, 2025.

According to a notification issued by the department, vehicle owners now have two additional months to acquire the modern, security-enhanced plates. The previous deadline expired on October 31.

Officials said the redesigned plates include advanced security features aimed at improving vehicle identification, verification, and tracking across the province.

The department urged citizens to complete the installation process within the extended period to avoid penalties after the new deadline.
