Dengue cases surge in KP with 102 new infections reported
The dengue outbreak in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa shows no signs of slowing down, as 102 new cases were reported across the province during the past 24 hours, according to the official data on Saturday.
The total number of active dengue cases in the province has now reached 321, while the cumulative number of cases reported so far this year has climbed to 4,336.
Health officials said that 30 new patients were admitted to various hospitals over the past day, where a total of 43 patients are currently under treatment.
Since the beginning of the year, 1,761 patients have been hospitalised, while 4,013 dengue patients have recovered.
A Health Department report confirmed that two deaths have been recorded in the province this year due to dengue-related complications.
