The latest movie, Ayushman Khurrana’s Thamma, achieved the INR 100 crore milestone at the box office, which has long been seen as a benchmark for Bollywood success.

The film, which also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is expected to become the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe’s highest-grossing origin story.

“The public validation is the biggest affirmation for any talent,” Ayushman tells Variety in reference to this milestone. The Maddock Horror Comedy Universe has a fantastic track record of successful movies, and as an origin story, “Thamma” has had the best opening of any MHCU debut.

He goes on, “It will also become the MHCU’s highest-grossing origin story, which is another significant accomplishment. Therefore, I’m overjoyed and grateful to the audience for their love.

He continues, “I’ve always wanted to make a major movie that gets released at festivals and entertains everyone in India.” “As an entertainer, ‘Thamma’ has fulfilled all of my dreams.”

The horror comedy also features Rashmika Mandanna and Paresh Rawal in addition to Ayushman and Nawazuddin. Amar Kaushik is the producer, Dinesh Vijan is the director, and Aditya Sarpotda is the director.
