Future Investment Initiative Conference opens in Riyadh
The ninth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference began in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, bringing together more than 9,000 delegates, including heads of state, leading economists, and global investors.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also scheduled to address the conference later today.
The event, held at the King Abdulaziz International Convention Centre in Riyadh, opened under the theme “The Key to Prosperity.”
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Governor of the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), Chairman of Saudi Aramco, and FII Chairman Yasir Othman Al Rumayyan welcomed the participants, noting that the initiative serves as a global platform for driving transformative investments with worldwide impact.
He highlighted that in less than a decade, over $250 billion worth of agreements have been signed under the FII platform.
“This year’s conference marks a new era of ambition and economic vision,” Al Rumayyan said, adding that the world must strengthen efforts to promote inclusive economic development to ensure a prosperous future for all nations.
