Sydney Sweeney has spoken about ongoing romance rumours with her co-star Glen Powell, clarifying that the two share a close friendship rather than a romantic relationship.

In an interview with Variety, the Any One But You actress said she and Powell have a “genuine care, love, and respect” for each other.

“I enjoy spending time with him, and I think people simply saw a great connection,” she said.

Sweeney added that media speculation had largely fuelled the rumours. “Honestly, the press did it themselves.

“Even if we were simply standing next to each other, people would say, ‘They’re only two inches apart!’” she told the outlet.

The Euphoria star also hinted at the possibility of a sequel to the 2023 romantic comedy, saying she would be eager to return “hand in hand” if the “concept and script” felt right. “We are always open to it,” she added.
