KP approves new operational vehicles for police
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has approved new operational vehicles for the provincial police, fulfilling his promise to strengthen their operational capacity.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office, CM Afridi has signed the summary for the procurement of new vehicles, including four APCs, 39 single-cabin pickups, 34 double-cabin pickups, two Revo vehicles, 15 pickups, and seven other vehicles.
CM Afridi said that operational vehicles are being provided to police stations across all districts to boost mobility and response capabilities.
“Despite the federal government’s indifferent attitude, the provincial government is equipping the police with modern resources,” he said.
“Our police officers are fighting on the front line — it is our duty to provide them with every facility,” CM Afridi added, emphasising that the provincial government stands firmly with its police force in maintaining peace and stability across the province.
He also revealed that work is underway on a separate project worth Rs1.89 billion to provide bulletproof vehicles to the police.
