Security forces killed eight terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy network ‘Fitna al Khawarij’ during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Tank district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.

According to ISPR, troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ hideouts, and after an intense exchange of fire, eight Indian-sponsored khawarij were eliminated.

The killed terrorists were actively involved in attacks against security forces, law enforcement agencies, and the killing of innocent civilians, the statement added.

Security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the site. A sanitisation operation is underway in the area to clear any remaining threats.
