Imran Khan mourns passing of ex-wife Jemima’s mother
Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has expressed condolences on the passing of his former wife Jemima Goldsmith’s mother, Lady Annabel Goldsmith.
In a message shared on various social media platforms, Khan said he learned about the sad news on Tuesday.
“I have just been informed by my family about the passing of Lady Annabel Goldsmith. I am deeply saddened to hear this,” he wrote.
He described Lady Annabel as “a wonderful grandmother to my sons and a very kind and compassionate person.”
Imran Khan said he used to stay at her home with his sons whenever he visited London.

“She was like a mother to me, especially after my own mother passed away in 1985,” he added.
The former prime minister said he was deeply grieved by her death and extended heartfelt condolences to all her children and grandchildren.
“If I were not imprisoned, I would have attended her funeral with my sons, Sulaiman and Kasim,” he wrote.
It is pertinent to mention that Lady Annabel Goldsmith, a renowned British socialite and the mother of Jemima Goldsmith, passed away on October 18 at the age of 91.
