T20 series: Final consultations under way for Pakistan squad
Consultations over the formation of Pakistan’s national cricket team for the upcoming T20 series against South Africa have entered the final stage.
According to sources, discussions are underway to rest newly appointed ODI captain Shaheen Shah Afridi from the T20 format, while fast bowler Naseem Shah is expected to make a comeback to the squad.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) sources said that players selected for the T20 squad have been directed to report on October 25, with team training set to begin on October 26 in Lahore.
The sources added that two to three changes are likely in the national squad compared to the one that represented Pakistan in the Asia Cup T20.
Pakistan will play three T20 matches against South Africa, with the first encounter scheduled on October 28 in Rawalpindi.
