Gold price corrects sharply in Pakistan after record surge
Gold and silver prices in Pakistan fell sharply on Saturday after a drop in international markets.
Gold prices witnessed a significant decline, dropping by Rs10,600 per tola to settle at Rs446,300.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs8,331 to Rs382,630.
The fall comes in line with the international market, where gold lost $106 per ounce, bringing the rate down to $4,252.
Silver prices showed mixed trends. The price of a tola of silver fell by Rs231 to Rs5,273, while 10 grams of silver gained Rs198, reaching Rs4,520.
Globally, silver traded at $51.86 per ounce.
On Friday, gold had reached a record high in Pakistan, with the price per tola rising by Rs14,100 to Rs456,90, the biggest single-day increase in history.
