The security forces on Saturday carried out a successful intelligence-based operation in the Mughal Kot sector of Bannu, killing two terrorists affiliated with the Fitna Al Khwarij group.

According to security sources, the operation effectively targeted the network of the Fitna Al Khwarij group led by Tariq Kachhi in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

During the operation, the group’s leaders, Tariq Kachhi and Hakeemullah alias Tiger, were killed.

A significant cache of weapons was also recovered from the slain militants.

Security officials said Tariq Kachhi’s network had been active in terrorist activities for the past two years and was involved in extortion on behalf of the Fitna Al Khwarij group.

He also acted as a facilitator for the infiltration of militants from Afghanistan into Pakistan, the sources added.
