ITP issues traffic advisory amid cricket practice sessions in Rawalpindi
The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued a traffic advisory for Saturday and Sunday, warning commuters of possible congestion on major routes due to cricket practice sessions at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
An official told APP that the practice sessions were scheduled as part of preparations for the international cricket season, which begins on October 20 and features Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka.
He said that traffic flow on the Expressway and Srinagar Highway could slow down during peak hours, and commuters are advised to plan extra travel time and consider alternate routes.
The official added that ITP officers have been deployed across the capital to ensure smooth traffic flow and provide assistance to citizens.
“The ITP is committed to minimising public inconvenience during cricket activities,” he said.
Citizens can obtain real-time updates on traffic by calling the Traffic Helpline 1915, dialling Pukar-15, or tuning in to FM 92.4
