US President Donald Trump has said that ending the Pakistan-Afghanistan conflict would be “very easy” for him.

Speaking to the media at the Oval Office, Trump said he had stopped eight wars during his tenure, including a potential Pakistan-India war.

He claimed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had once told him that his efforts to avert a Pakistan-India war had saved millions of lives.

Meanwhile, Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban regime have agreed to extend their ceasefire, which was due to expire yesterday.

According to official sources, both sides decided to continue the 48-hour ceasefire until the conclusion of talks in Doha.

A Pakistani delegation is scheduled to participate in the negotiations in Qatar, as an Afghan Taliban delegation will also reach the Qatari capital for the discussions.
