Religious party’s offices sealed in parts of Islamabad
The district administration in Islamabad on Thursday sealed several offices of a radical religious party in various parts of the federal capital, sources said.
According to the sources, the religious party’s offices in Bhara Kahu, Sohan, and several other localities were closed as part of the ongoing administrative action.
The move comes a day after police in Lahore registered 25 cases against members of the religious group following recent violent protests.
The FIRs against members of the religious group had been lodged in police stations across Islampura, New Anarkali, Shafiqabad, Gawalmandi, Badami Bagh, and Shahdara under multiple charges, including terrorism, murder, attempted murder, abduction, rioting, and vandalism.
In Bahawalpur, police also registered several cases under the Maintenance of Public Order (16 MPO) and other sections against dozens of unidentified members of the group.
