Petrol, diesel prices likely to drop as government reviews fuel rates
Slight relief in fuel prices likely from October 16
In Pakistan, a reduction in petroleum product prices is likely in the upcoming fortnightly review, sources said on Tuesday.
According to initial estimates, petrol prices are expected to decrease by Rs6.10 per litre, while high-speed diesel (HSD) may see a reduction of Rs1 per litre, the sources added.
Similarly, the price of kerosene oil is likely to drop by Rs2.75 per litre, and light diesel oil by Rs1.64 per litre.
The Ministry of Finance will issue a notification after reviewing the summary submitted by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), finalising the new prices.
The revised rates are expected to take effect from October 16.
