Dengue cases continue to surge across Punjab
Dengue cases continued to surge across Punjab as health authorities confirmed 42 new infections in the past 24 hours.
The latest figures highlight Rawalpindi and Lahore as the most affected districts, with several other cities also reporting fresh cases amid growing concerns over the spread of the mosquito-borne virus.
According to health authorities, 21 cases were reported from Rawalpindi, and 6 from Lahore. Sahiwal recorded 4 cases, Faisalabad 3, and Sargodha 2 cases. Meanwhile, Khanewal, Hafizabad, Vehari, Lodhran, Pakpattan, and Attock each reported 1 case.
So far this year, Lahore has reported 373 cases, Rawalpindi 968, and Murree 117 dengue patients.
In total, 2,053 people across Punjab have been infected with dengue this year.
