Two most-wanted terrorists killed in CTD operation in Bannu
Two most-wanted terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Bannu, the Central Police Office (CPO) Peshawar said on Friday.
According to the CPO, the slain terrorists were identified as Rashedeen alias Malang Yar and Khalid Usman. Both were on the CTD’s most-wanted list and involved in multiple attacks on police and incidents of target killing.
Police said Rashedeen was the mastermind behind the attack on four CTD personnel, while both men had long been under surveillance for their role in terrorist activities across the region.
Arms and explosives were recovered from their possession after the operation.
Security forces have launched a search operation in the area to arrest fleeing accomplices, the statement added.
