The sound of two explosions was heard in the Afghan capital Kabul, late Thursday night, according to local media reports.

Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid confirmed the incident in a post on social platform X, saying: “The sound of an explosion was heard in the city of Kabul. However, no one should worry — it is all well and good. The investigation of the incident is underway. No report of any damage has been given so far.”

Afghan media outlets reported that at least two blasts were heard in central Kabul, though the exact location and nature of the explosions remain unclear.
