Funeral of Major Sibtain Haider held at Chaklala Garrison
The funeral prayers of Major Sibtain Haider, who embraced martyrdom during an intelligence-based operation against the Indian proxy militant group Fitna Al Khwarij in the Daraban area of Dera Ismail Khan, were offered at Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi, on Thursday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar, senior civil and military officials, and members of the public attended the funeral prayers.
Paying tribute to the martyred officer, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that “the menace of Khawarij or any group promoting extremist ideologies will never be allowed to succeed.”
He added that the blood of martyrs strengthens the nation’s resolve to defeat every agent of chaos and safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty.
Major Sibtain Haider will be laid to rest with full military honours in his native town.
