Senator Mushtaq to return home on October 9, says Ishaq Dar
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar said on Tuesday that he had spoken to former Senator Mushtaq Ahmad via Pakistan’s Ambassador in Amman and confirmed his well-being following his participation in the Global Sumud Flotilla.
“Senator Mushtaq is fine and in high spirits,” Dar said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
“I lauded the courage and steadfastness of Senator Mushtaq for being part of the Sumud Flotilla in support of the Palestinian cause, to break the siege and deliver humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.”
Dar said Senator Mushtaq had expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Foreign Office for its efforts in reaching out to him in Tel Aviv through a friendly European country’s mission and for the embassy’s full support and facilitation during his stay in Amman, Jordan.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that the Pakistan Foreign Office had made all necessary arrangements for Senator Mushtaq’s return to Pakistan on October 9.
