PM Shehbaz to visit Malaysia today to boost bilateral ties
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will undertake an official visit to Malaysia from October 5 to 7 (Sunday to Tuesday), at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
According to the Foreign Office, the prime minister will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including the deputy prime minister and foreign minister, several federal ministers, and senior officials.
The visit reflects the strong and enduring partnership between Pakistan and Malaysia, built on mutual respect, shared interests, and close cooperation across multiple sectors.
During his stay, PM Shehbaz will hold bilateral talks with his Malaysian counterpart to review the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and exchange views on key regional and global developments.
Both leaders are expected to focus on expanding cooperation in trade, information technology, telecommunications, the Halal industry, investment, education, energy, infrastructure, the digital economy, and people-to-people linkages.
They are also likely to witness the signing of several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) covering existing and new areas of collaboration.
The visit underscores Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with Malaysia and reaffirms both countries’ resolve to promote peace, stability, trade, investment, and sustainable development in the region.
