The United States Embassy in Pakistan has announced that it will no longer provide regular visa and consular updates on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), citing security concerns and delays in budget approval.

In a statement issued on X, the embassy said the account would not be updated regularly until full operations are restored.

However, it is assured that emergency security and safety information will continue to be shared through the platform.

A US embassy spokesperson clarified that passport and visa services at the embassy in Islamabad and consulates across Pakistan are functioning normally.

Still, adjustments may be made depending on circumstances.
