Putin supports two-state solution for Gaza conflict
Russian President Vladimir Putin has emphasised the importance of a two-state solution in the ongoing Gaza conflict, stating that if President Trump advances in this direction, Russia will fully support it.
Putin believes in establishing a Palestinian state alongside Israel is crucial for achieving peace in the region.
During his remarks, President Putin urged all parties to agree on a clear timeline for the gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, which he sees as vital for paving the way to lasting peace. He expressed hope that further gunfire or military actions would be avoided.
In a separate statement, Putin issued a strong warning to Ukraine, advising it against attacking nuclear facilities.
He asserted that Russia is not a “paper tiger” and that NATO must acknowledge this fact. He cautioned that supplying missiles to Ukraine could further escalate the ongoing conflict.
Putin reiterated Russia’s preference for a political solution rather than military action in the region, while also asserting that the country has the capability to respond effectively if its interests or security are jeopardised.
