KP cabinet shake-up: Four more ministers, aides face ouster after party consultations
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government is preparing for another round of cabinet reshuffles, with two provincial ministers and two special assistants expected to be shown the door after consultations with party leadership.
Sources said Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has already accepted the resignations of cabinet members Aqib Ullah Khan and Faisal Tarakai, and further changes are likely in the coming days.
Aqib Ullah Khan, Minister for Irrigation, and Faisal Khan Tarakai, Minister for Elementary & Secondary Education, on Tuesday submitted their resignations to Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
Until the consultations are finalised, the four cabinet members under consideration have been barred from entering the Chief Minister’s House, insiders confirmed.
Those reportedly facing removal include Provincial Minister for Higher Education Meena Khan Afridi, Provincial Minister for Food Zahir Shah Toru, Special Assistant Shafqat Ayaz, and Special Assistant Sohail Afridi.
According to officials, the shake-up is aimed at restructuring the provincial cabinet and improving governance.
