NCCIA decides fresh probe of PTI founder over social media accounts
The National Cybercrime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has decided to initiate a fresh investigation of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan over the use of social media accounts, sources said on Wednesday.
According to officials, the agency has already served a questionnaire consisting of 21 questions to former prime minister Imran Khan.
Among the key queries, investigators have asked whether tweets issued from the official X account were made with his knowledge.
This is the third time the NCCIA has moved to question the PTI founder.
Despite being served the questionnaire, he has so far failed to provide the required responses, the sources added.
The probe is expected to focus on the origin and management of social media content associated with the former prime minister, amid continuing scrutiny of his party’s online activities.
