Pakistan, US agree to boost counterterrorism, intelligence cooperation
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a meeting with FBI Director Kash Patel, which he described as “highly productive and result-oriented.”
During the meeting, both sides discussed cooperation on key issues including illegal immigration, counterterrorism, and officer exchange programmes.
Naqvi said the talks touched on important aspects of strengthening Pakistan-US relations and would help deepen institutional collaboration.
The interior minister praised Patel’s professional capabilities and vision, calling him “an excellent partner” and noting that working with him was a rewarding experience.
Counterterrorism featured prominently in the discussions, with both sides emphasising the need for a joint strategy and enhanced intelligence sharing.
They also agreed on the importance of effective measures to address illegal immigration and to expand cooperation in officer training and exchange initiatives.
