Sarah Ferguson criticised for handling of Epstein issues and leaked email
Sarah Ferguson has come under scrutiny from experts regarding her handling of issues related to Jeffrey Epstein and a recently leaked email.
The controversy stems from an email the Duchess sent to Epstein after being advised to publicly distance herself from him to protect her charity career and future as an author.
Following her connection to Epstein, several organisations severed ties with her, including Julia’s House children’s hospice, the Teenage Cancer Trust and The Children’s Literacy Charity, which requested her resignation.
Currently, only New Frontier Publishing remains, with a joint book titled Kindness Along The Way set for release in November.
In a piece for the Daily Mail, commentator Ms. Platell criticised Ferguson’s decision to maintain contact with Epstein, noting that she admitted in her emails to him that her distancing was motivated by a desire to protect her reputation and career.
Platell stated, “No charity executive could possibly read Fergie’s emails and not conclude that she is now completely beyond the pale”.
She further emphasised that Ferguson’s emails undermine her credibility, suggesting that anyone outside royal protections would face immediate consequences for maintaining such contact with the figure like Epstein.
