A coalition of Western and European countries, including Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the European Union and Poland announced their commitment to provide financial assistance, medical personnel and equipment to treat patients from Gaza in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

In a joint statement issued by Canada, the countries urged Israel to restore the medical corridor to the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, to facilitate medical evacuations from Gaza and ensure that patients receive the urgent treatment they require on Palestinian territory.

Notably, the United States was not among the signatories of the statement.
